During this trip I will hopefully be reasonably readily contactable. I will be checking my e-mails wherever I can find internet cafés so please do e-mail. I will also be able to receive text messages whenever I have signal so please feel free to txt me on + 4 4 7 7 5 2 0 6 0 4 2 8. Unfortunately I probably won’t be able to reply individually I’m afraid but I will try and keep you up to date through this website and the MSN Group. This will obviously be a challenging and potentially lonely time so any communication will be greatly appreciated!

Embarking on this tour is quite a big step for me and I appreciate all the help I have been given from various sources. I'm going to need help from people in a number of ways if this tour is to be a success.

Firstly I need sponsorship, one of the main reasons for doing this tour is try and raise as much money as possible for Crossroads International and so if you would like to sponsor me I'd be most grateful! Also I'm hoping to run some events fundraising for Crossroads, I'll try and post details on this site but if you have any ideas please get in touch!

I have recently had an online donation facility made available through Aid International so if you would like to make a donation on-line please visit their website, click on "Make a Donation", by selecting participant you can enter Tim Smith as participant and Cycling to the Crossroads as the event then after completing your details your donation will be added to the total as soon as possible. Thank you!

Also on the financial front I will also need sponsoring for the time that I work at Crossroads after my ride. I am hoping to have about 2 months to be able to work with Crossroads, at Crossroads they ask that all their full time staff are sponsored to make sure that all the money they fundraise is not ploughed straight back into paying staff bills but can be used more profitable. I will therefore need sponsorship of about £80-£100 per week to cover the costs of food and lodging for the 2 months so if you think you can help with that please be in touch.

Thirdly if I spend the whole tour with out meeting a soul then I may well go over the brink of sanity! If you live near to where my route will pass or if you know someone who does then please do let me know, I'll gladly go slightly out of my way to meet people.

I cannot do this tour on my own (even if I'm the only one cycling) so please, please if you are able to help let me know and I will be very grateful and so will the hundreds and thousands of people that you allow Crossroads to help!
