Dear All,
I just thought I’d drop a quick update. Things are moving on with the preparations for the trip. I’ve done lots of work in organising stuff and things are slowly coming together.
I have now bought quite a lot of the kit I’ll be needing for the trip, everything from random things like folding bowls to pan sets and tools! I also ordered my new bike this week which will be a Thorn Raven Tour, it’ll be a fantastic machine and I’m definitely looking forward to getting onto it at the Easter holidays.
As you’ll see from the routes page of the website I’ve been chopping and changing the route quite a bit particularly through Kazakhstan, so much so that I’m finding it difficult to keep the site up to date! Hopefully once I’m back with my own computer in Durham next week I’ll be able to rectify that more easily. I’ve also received my first offer of publicity from a local Durham paper, the Northern Echo who would like a photo shoot once I’m back in Durham. I’m also looking to get some local Salisbury coverage and once I’ve finalised the brochure I’ll be contacting local BBC channels.
I am also hoping to have my brochures produced later this month and a kind friend I met on the Celtic Challenge Ireland cycle has said he will probably be able to help me in that.
As I say things are moving forward and I’ve had no major hiccups just yet!
Thanks for all your support.
Blessings,
Tim
PS if you are used to using google for searches it would be a real help to me if you could use the search box on my site as this will then earn me money which will be used to fund the trip. Thank you
