Why?
Why? It’s a question I’ve asked myself a lot recently! The answer is
three fold I guess.

Firstly I want to go and work with Crossroads after I graduate anyway. I have been in touch with Crossroads for a number of years and in 2003 was able to visit them for 4 weeks. I cannot describe what it was like to work with such a fantastically enthusiastic and servant hearted group of people and I couldn’t pass off the opportunity to experience that again & meet up with some old friends.
I then thought that maybe rather than flying I could use the best form
of transport known to man (in my opinion) and cycle? For me this would
be a dream come true, it’s a challenge like non other (& I thrive
on challenges) and would take me through some fabulous parts of the
world which I have never visited before.
Then the plan fell together, I thought to myself “If I can raise
£1000 cycling 500 miles how much can I raise cycling 8000!” (it’s
those challenges again!) Crossroads is a fantastic charity which has
helped so many people in the past and I want to be a part of helping
that continue and grow for as long as possible!
Cycling is now by far my favourite past time and so this tour
encapsulates the best of all worlds, I get to have a great experience
and Crossroads gets lots of much needed funds!
